About Nicola
A Chartered Accountant, CGMA, BA (Hons) by trade, with 20 plus years of working in the legal sector, Nicola’s roots lie in practice management, especially in the areas of accounting, finance, systems and compliance.
Nicola’s got a keen awareness of the operational challenges of managing a law firm in today’s environment. She can guide and train employees of any role on how to better manage their workload and concentrate on delivering high quality, consistent and professional client service.
Having held the position of Client Services Director in a legal technology vendor business, Nicola has been involved in both sides of the coin, and can therefore share detailed knowledge and experience, bridging the gap between fee earning and administrative departments, ensuring selected solutions meet the needs of every stakeholder.
As founder of Jayva, Nicola has been instrumental in leading our business through immense growth since our inception in 2014. Nicola is also the founder of our sister companies in the Global Group, namely Jayva US Inc. and Jayva MidAtlantic LLC. She very much enjoys supporting the US team at what’s an exciting and challenging time.
Making a decision to work ‘on’ the business rather than ‘in’ the business in 2021, Nicola has assumed the role of Global Chief Executive Officer with ultimate responsibility for everyone and everything at Jayva Global. Her duties encompass ensuring data quality, developing partner relationships, driving financial growth, and devising our organisational, product development and marketing strategies.
Married with two young children, the namesakes of our business Jake and Eva, Nicola is also a volunteer non-executive Finance Director for a local charity, a nursery and out-of-school club which provides care and education for children aged 6 months to 11 years in Gosforth, Cumbria, where Nicola was born and now lives with her family.
