Jo brings over 20 years of experience in legal finance to her role as Legal Cashier and Consultant within Jayva’s Accounting & Data Quality team.
With a strong background spanning legal bookkeeping, financial management, accounting software and compliance, Jo has held senior positions within law firms – including Director of Finance and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA). This hands-on experience gives her a deep understanding of the financial and regulatory challenges practices face in today’s legal landscape.
In her role at Jayva, Jo works closely with law firms to support their day-to-day financial operations while ensuring full compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules. Her expertise covers bookkeeping, reporting, VAT, cash flow management, budgeting and regulatory oversight, helping businesses operate efficiently, remain compliant and maintain financial stability.
Renowned for her practical and collaborative approach, Jo partners with clients to improve internal processes, strengthen controls and enhance overall financial performance. Her ability to simplify complex accounting requirements ensures law firms can focus on delivering high-quality legal services with confidence.
Jo is adept in a range of legal accounting systems, including LEAP Legal Software and Xero, and holds an ILFM Diploma, further underpinning her technical know-how in legal finance.
