With a career spanning more than 30 years in the legal industry, Cathie brings an exceptional depth of hands-on, technical and accounting expertise to her role as Implementation Consultant & Legal Accounts Specialist at Jayva.
Having worked both within law firms as a paralegal and alongside hundreds of them across Australia and America in a consulting and training capacity, Cathie has an unrivalled understanding of the challenges faced by clients in managing their practices efficiently, compliantly and profitably. For nearly two decades, she’s specialised in implementing and training on practice management and legal accounts software for legal teams worldwide – helping law offices streamline operations, comply with regulations, achieve return on their technology investment and maximise revenue generation.
Cathie combines her vast accounting knowledge with practical experience of legal operations to support clients through every stage of software installation and familiarisation, as well as assist with refining and strengthening cashiering processes. She’s known for her clear communication, methodical approach and ability to translate complex management, accounting and compliance requirements into effective workflows and robust procedures.
Outside of work, Cathie enjoys conning her brother into letting her sail on his 32ft yacht which is named after their mother, getting embroiled in a good book, catching up with friends and spending time on Keppel Island – a 40-minute boat ride from where she lives.
