Celebrating Mairead Lepki: Recipient of the Peter Malone ‘Spirit of Parkrun Award’

At the Heaton parkrun in Manchester recently, something very special happened. Our colleague, Mairead Lepki, was presented with the Peter Malone ‘Spirit of Parkrun Award’ – a heartfelt tribute that honours the memory of Peter Malone, a much-loved parkrunner who sadly passed away. This award recognises individuals who hold the qualities Peter was known for: kindness, generosity, encouragement and a genuine sense of community spirit.

For anyone who knows Mairead, it comes as no surprise that she was chosen. She’s one of those rare people who leaves a positive mark on every person she meets. Her enthusiasm is infectious, her compassion unwavering and her dedication to supporting others is second nature. Whether she’s cheering on fellow parkrunners or guiding clients and colleagues through complex technology projects, she approaches every challenge with skill and empathy.

Mairead’s professional journey spans an impressive 29 years, covering software quality assurance, product development, technical helpdesk delivery and full IT support. She has a unique ability to bridge the gap between technology and business needs – ensuring solutions are not just functional, but truly impactful. Her exceptional hands-on software expertise underpins everything she does, enabling her to lead with both insight and precision.

Although Mairead has been with Jayva Global for just six months, her contribution has already been transformative. She embodies our core values of professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment to people. In the workplace, she’s the person who brings calm to complexity. Outside of work, she’s the one who inspires her community by showing up, lifting others and making a difference.

Mairead herself described the moment simply:

“honoured, humbled – and, for once, speechless”

At Jayva, we’re anything but speechless. We’re proud, inspired and grateful to have her on our team. Nicola Moore-Miller, CEO, shared her thoughts on the award:

“Mairead represents the very best of what it means to be a colleague and community member. She brings a rare combination of technical mastery and heartfelt human connection. This award is a testament not only to her skills, but to the way she makes everyone around her feel valued and supported. We couldn’t be prouder.”

Please join us in congratulating Mairead on this well-deserved recognition – for her professional excellence and the kindness she brings to the world.
