We expand into Australia to enhance our partnership with LEAP Legal Software

As a long-time certified consultant for LEAP Legal Software, we’re expanding into Australia to support both current and future system users. Our consultancy and training services will assist clients during initial implementation, renewal phases, new starter inductions, mergers and demergers, upskilling and process reengineering.

Having begun our LEAP journey in 2014 as the first certified consultant in the UK, we’ve since extended our offering into the jurisdictions of Ireland (2017), America (2018) and New Zealand (2022). Now, we’re setting up an office in Darling Park Tower, located in Sydney’s vibrant Cockle Bay Wharf waterside district, partnering with LEAP in the software house’s birthplace.

Our APAC division, namely Australia and New Zealand, will be led by Jacqui Bettio in role of Managing Director. Having worked as implementation consultant for three years, combined with her vast business management experience and driven personality, Jacqui’s the ideal fit as leader for this rapidly growing business unit.

Jacqui’s decision to move back to Australia from California is perfectly timed. Beck Roberts has set up and managed client services in New Zealand independently for the almost twelve months, latterly joined by Piet Bourke. Jacqui’s appointment comes at a time when the influx of implementations gathers momentum.

Due to a recent reorganisation and restructure within LEAP, several individuals have joined our workforce in Australia. They continue to operate in the same capacity as consultants and trainers, supporting an area where LEAP holds the largest market share in the legal sector.

Newly appointed colleagues include Sarah Martin-Lewis, Cathie Orgill, Simon Tredinnick, Olivia Gwiazdzinski and Chad Ripepi, all of whom are high-calibre recruits whose experience and skills are invaluable to our Australasian endeavour. Two further LEAP employees are scheduled to start in the months ahead.

With LEAP’s development team being based in Australia, there’s synergy with us having employees situated in the same region and operating within the same time zone in order to offer extensive coverage of client-facing service delivery by the pooled Australia and New Zealand resources, backed by our global 40-strong personnel for remote support including data migration and online training.

Kicking off our Australian adventure, we’re convening for our inaugural strategy meeting in September, chaired by Chief Executive Officer Nicola Moore-Miller, facilitated by Managing Director of software-agnostic sister brand InQuo, Robert Bailey, and attended by our network of partners and suppliers, to determine our strategic direction for the next twelve months.

Nicola Moore-Miller comments, “We’re thrilled to be a part of, and facilitate the growth of, our LEAP partnership into our fifth international workplace. There are many similarities between Australia and New Zealand which is why we’re able to utilise our two teams as a coherent whole. So, if we’re tasked with installing LEAP within a 100-person law office in either country, we’ll pull everyone together for optimum performance.

“What’s interesting is that Australia differs somewhat from LEAP’s other territories because of its well-established software and loyal clients. We’ll still be providing the services which we’re revered for elsewhere when law firms become first-time LEAP users as new business sales will remain a top-most priority from the market leader who continues to take the legal world by storm. Mostly, however, we’ll be helping existing clients at various stages of their lifecycle, primarily teaching users on the full toolkit at their disposal, which we tend to find is only used to 20% of its capabilities. The additional 80% functionality and accompanying efficiencies available is truly revolutionary for these businesses.”

Jacqui Bettio

Jacqui Bettio states, “I'm thrilled to return to my Australian home turf with Jayva as LEAP's trusted partners. Together, we're committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for law firms using LEAP's advanced software, enhanced by Jayva's expert consultancy and training. I'm excited to guide our clients, both new and returning, through their transformation journey.”
